In Applications Manager v8.0 SP5 and above a new message/question is displayed during an install/upgrade as follows:
'Update the next rundate for all schedules'
The default of this is set to Y[es].
The awinstall script was modified to include an additional prompt in order to allow the user to choose how they wanted the schedules in Applications Manager to behave after performing an install/upgrade.
Jobs scheduled to run during downtime for the upgrade did not immediately kick off after the upgrade was complete. This was due to the 'as designed' behavior of updating all next rundates with past dates to their next eligible run.
Selecting 'Y' will update the schedules so that they DO NOT kick off immediately and will kick off according to the next eligible run.
Selecting 'N' will not update the schedules so that any jobs scheduled to run during the downtime will kick off immediately following the upgrade.
