Cannot update or delete scheduled job with backslash character in the name

Document ID : KB000095698
Last Modified Date : 31/05/2018

Issue:

We defined a scheduled job to rotate a domain account password, and used syntax "Rotate weekly \" as job name.
The job was saved w/o error, but when we try to update the job, the UI throws error "PAM-UI-1003: Failed to connect to server, check your network connection.", and an attempt to delete the job gives error "Bad Request" and the job is not deleted.

Environment:
This affects all current PAM releases as of 5/14/2018.
Cause:
Some special characters are not processed correctly when retrieving scheduled jobs data from the database.
Resolution:
Define scheduled jobs with alphanumeric characters in the name only for now. If a job with a problem name exists already and cannot be updated or deleted, open a support case to have it removed if needed, or wait for the next maintenance release.
The problem is expected to be resolved in the upcoming 3.1.2 and 3.2.1 maintenance releases, and in future PAM releases such as 3.3.
