Problem:

I have installed the powerpack for webservers in unix and when try to start it, I can see the below errors in the log:

7/27/16 09:50:59 PM CEST [ERROR] [IntroscopeAgent.Agent] A problem occurred while attempting to create the delegate agent
7/27/16 09:50:59 PM CEST [ERROR] [AgentConfig] Property file: ./target/config/AgentConfig.properties does not exist.
7/27/16 09:50:59 PM CEST [ERROR] [AgentConfig] Property File Not Found :AgentConfig.properties
7/27/16 09:50:59 PM CEST [ERROR] [AgentConfig] Error reading file: ./target/config/AgentConfig.properties
7/27/16 09:50:59 PM CEST [ERROR] [AgentConfig] Error: Properties file not found : AgentConfig.properties

Cause:

>> [ERROR] [IntroscopeAgent.Agent] A problem occurred while attempting to create the delegate agent

The above ERROR messages indicates a jvm compatibility issue. In the install log you can find the below errors too:

>> Execute ANT Script: Script: agent.installer.exec.xml
>> Status: ERROR
>> Additional Notes: ERROR - standalonepp.installer.exec.xml:8: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Bad version number in .class file

>> 7/27/16 09:50:59 PM CEST [ERROR] [AgentConfig] Property file: ./target/config/AgentConfig.properties does not exist.

The above ERROR is related to bug # DE42544. If the WebServer Agent is installed in windows, the location of "AgentConfig.properties" is set to "/config/AgentConfig.properties", but if WebServer agent is installed in Unix the location is set to "/target/config/AgentConfig.properties", however the 'target/config' directory does not exists hence the agent fails to startup.

Resolution:

1. Configure the Powerpack for Webserver startup script (WebServerMonitor.sh) to use 1.6.x jvm or higher version

2. Create a folder target/config/ and copy "AgentConfig.properties" file to this new location.

3. Make sure to complete your Powerpack for Webserver configuration as per documentation

4. Start the agent
