You could run into an issue where the CA NFA Reaper Service refuses to start due to corrupted files in the <installdir>/netflow/datafiles/reaperwork directory.

The main cause is that the Reaper service was killed unexpectedly while writing files, causing ReaperWork .CMP files to become corrupt.

These corrupt files prevent the Reaper Service from starting.

  1. Navigate to <installdir>/netflow/datafiles/reaperwork.
  2. Clear out ReaperWork as there are likely corrupt files. This will only effect 1 single 15 minute data point.
  3. Start the Reaper Service.
  4. Watch the <installdir>/netflow/datafiles/reaperInput directory to see the count of files to go down to 0.
  5. Once at 0, all data should be up to date.
