Issue:

After installation of Devtest components, unable to start Devtest services. When we start services, it immediately shut down the EnterpriseDashBoard services.

The log file reflected that there is a DB error

The error message is as followed:

2016-10-04 03:38:21,059Z (11:38) [main] ERROR dradis.Application             - Exception: java.sql.SQLException: DERBY SQL error: ERRORCODE: 0, SQLSTATE: XJ041, SQLERRMC: Failed to create database 'database/dradis.db', see the next exception for details.::SQLSTATE: XBM0HDirectory C:\Program Files\CA\DevTest\database\dradis.db cannot be created.

Cause:

Please make sure you have complete permissions (Read/write) on Devtest installation directory. So that, when we start Enterprisedashboard/Registry components with default settings, it will create databases for ED and Registry in <Devtest_Home>/database folder with name as dradis.db and lisa.db.

If there are any permission issues, Derby database is not created and service will shutdown.

Resolution/Workaround:

Grant read/write access to entire Devtest folder and restart the components or start services with admin privileges.
