Unable to run CA Business Intelligence (CABI) 4.1 Out of the box reports due to a Database error (architecture mismatch)

Description:

When trying to run CABI 4.1 reports, following error is received:

com.businessobjects.sdk.core.server.CommunicationException$UnexpectedServerException: Database error: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application. (IES 10901) 

Solution:

Create 64-bit and 32-bit CABI_SDM Datadirect ODBC connections on CABI server.

Steps to Create DataDirect ODBC connection on CABI Server
===================================

64-bit

1.  Start -> All programs -> Administrative Tools-> ODBC

2.  Click on the System DSN tab

3.  Click ADD -> CA SERVICE DESK MANAGER (OA ODBC 64BIT)-> Finish

DATA SOURCE: NAME   casd_<PRIMARYSERVERNAME>
SERVICE HOST: <PRIMARY SERVER NAME>
SERVICE PORT: 19987
SERVICE  DATA SOURCE: Default

4.  Click "Test Connection".  Provide ServiceDesk Administrator Userid and its respective password.

32-bit

1.  Launch C:\Windows\system32\syswow64\odbcad32.exe


2.  Click ADD -> CA SERVICE DESK MANAGER (OA ODBC 32BIT)-> Finish

DATA SOURCE: NAME   casd_<PRIMARYSERVERNAME>
SERVICE HOST: <PRIMARY SERVER NAME>
SERVICE PORT: 19987
SERVICE  DATA SOURCE: Default 

4.  Click "Test Connection". Provide ServiceDesk Administrator Userid and its respective password

After creating both the 64-bit and 32-bit CABI-SDM ODBC connections, recycle the CABI services from the Central Configuration Manager.
