Planning to upgrade the UIM connector version but when trying to remove previously installed connector from SOI Administration page by clicking the "Remove Connector" button the connector is not removing
3 Catalyst Container was installed on the same machine with different name and only one had the UIM connector making all 4 entries in the ConnectorConfiguration table orphan
The following solution is for connectors that don't have data in the SAMStore DB. If you have data from the connector's you are about to remove then you'll have to run a series of SQL queries to remove the data Also. The solution provided here is for connector's without data stuck on the SOIUI Administration\Connector Configuration page.
NOTE: Please make sure you backup the SAMStore DB before making any changes.
- Only one of the catalyst container had the UIM connector installed. Looked in to the ConnectorConfiguration table to get the connectorID for the UIM connector. Ran the following SQL queries to make sure there are no data from the UIM connector
Select * from Alerts where connectorID='<connector id from ConnectorConfiguration table>'
Select * from CIStaging where connectorID='<connector id from ConnectorConfiguration table>'
- Ran the following SQL queries to delete the unwanted connector and catalyst container entries in ConnectorConfiguration table
Delete from ConnectorConfiguration where connectorID='<connector id from ConnectorConfiguration table>'
NOTE: If the above select queries returns data for the specific connector then just deleting the connector from the ConnectorConfiguration table will leave its data in the DB. These data can be deleted using a series of SQL queries documented in the attached "Delete_Connector_Data.zip"
