I am trying to mask the Computed column in Siebel application, using fast Data Masker 4.4, but it is throwing an error.
The product is functioning as designed. This is a restriction for bot SQL Server and Oracle, since "Computed" columns cannot be updated or inserted into, as they are "computed' by the server.
For more information, and as an example, see the following Oracle documentation: https://oracle-base.com/articles/11g/virtual-columns-11gr1.
Please note, you can mask any of the "real" columns that are used by the "computed" column, which would effectively mask the value, but we cannot update the "computed" columns themselves. Using the Oracle documentation as an example, masking "salary", "comm1", and "comm2" would ensure that the "salary1" and "salary2" values were effectively masked.
