Issue:

When loading UMP's USM interface you will may see the following:

An unknown error has occurred.
Refreshing your browser may resolve the issue.

Details:
com.firehunter.ump.exceptions.DataFactoryException : null

Stack Trace:
java.lang.NullPointerException
at com.firehunter.usm.AlarmUtils.cleanAnnotations(AlarmUtils.java:205)
at com.firehunter.usm.AlarmUtils.getAlarmsFromDb(AlarmUtils.java:317)
at com.firehunter.usm.AlarmUtils.getAlarmsXmlBuilder(AlarmUtils.java:86)
at com.firehunter.usm.AlarmUtils.getAlarms(AlarmUtils.java:72)
at com.firehunter.usm.DataFactory.getAlarms(DataFactory.java:888)
at com.firehunter.usm.DataFactory.getAlarms(DataFactory.java:881)

The stacktrace is important, it should be alarming about the "getAlarms" methods for this to be accurate.

Deploying ems and alarm_routing_service will cause no changes in how alarms are routed, but the null pointer exception will be avoided.

Environment:

Unified Infrastructure Manager 8.4, including Service Pack 1 and 2

Workaround:

1. Deploy ems to the primary hub

2. Deploy alarm_routing_service to primary hub

3. Refresh the screen - the issue should be resolved.
