Unable to Execute Cross-Platform Job From CA7

Issue:

CA7 sends a JOBINIT request to WAAE and the job fails to start due to the following error that appears in the Scheduler log right after the JOBINITU event is processed...

CAUAJM_E_40320 User authentication failure for XXXXXXXX\XXXXXX. User does not exist or bad password has been specified.

Environment:
WAAE 11.3.x All Platforms configured for cross-platform scheduling with CA7 on a mainframe.
Cause:

When CA7 submits a job request to WAAE, it sends a user (SUBUSER) and password (SUBPASS). WAAE then authenticates this user and password with the O/S. When the job fails to start due to the CAUAJM_E_40320 error, this means that either the user is not a valid ID on the WAAE Scheduler machine, or the password for that user that was sent by CA7 is invalid.

Resolution:

Verify that the user ID submitted by CA7, which is the one that appears in the error, is valid on the Scheduler machine. If so, then the password stored in CA7 for that user needs to be verified via the XPSWD command. For more information about the XPSWD command, see the following link...
