Unable to contact DataAggregator in CAPC User Console

This is caused due to Memory Error. If you see this kind of below error from DA/apache-karaf Log.

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

Dumping heap to java_pid1784.hprof ...

Heap dump file created [4042764155 bytes in 38.328 secs]



Kindly follow the below steps :

1.Increase DA memory


Access the Data Aggregator installation directory/apache-karaf-

2.3.0/bin/setenv file.

b. Modify the IM_MAX_MEM from 2g to 10g


With regards to what value to use, you can perform the following steps:


ps -aef | grep java


on the DA will tell you how much memory is being used at this stage


Example: /nms/IMDataAggregator/jre/bin/java

-server -Xms128M -Xmx8G -XX:MaxPermSize=256M

-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote -Djava......


So the recommendation is to configure more memory


2. Stop DA Service

3.  Rename apache-karaf*/data folder

4. Restart DA.

 Issue would be resolved.
