Unable to connect to UIM server when enabling the UIM integration

Symptoms:

When enabling the UIM/Nimsoft integration in the OneClick Administration page, UIM Configuration, the following message error is displayed:

SPC-NIM-6: Connection Error:SPC-NIM-9:Unable to connect to UIM Server.

 

Environment:

CA Spectrum 10.0, CA Spectrum 10.1

CA UIM 8.2, CA UIM 8.31

 

Cause:

The NISAPI probe was not installed on the UIM Server.

 

Resolution:

Deploy the NISAPI probe on the Primary Hub

1. Download the NISAPI probe from the following URL:

http://nmscdn.nimsoft.com/nisapi_8.0.0/nisapi_service_host-8.0.4.zip

2. Drag and drop the nisapi_service_host-8.0.4zip file to the UIM Archive.

3. Deploy the NISAPI probe to the Primary Hub.

4. You should be able to enable the UIM integration in the OneClick Administration page, UIM Configuration.
