A large number of users expect to be able to configure Timesheets via Studio. They also expect to be able to configure it like an object which has flexible configuration capabilities. Timesheet, however, is not an object and its degree of configuration is limited. Many users expect to configure the Timesheet display via: Home -> Timesheets -> Select a timesheet. Objects have "View" or "attributes" links in Studio and users can configure its List, Filter, Properties or Attributes. This is not the case with Timesheets.
The page navigated to via Home -> Timesheets -> Select a timesheet, is only configurable via the "Configure" link located in the right bottom corner of the page. The configuration functionality on this page is fixed and cannot be modified via Studio using normal PPM functionality.
Steps to Recreate:
Configure the page seen at Home -> Timesheets -> Select a timesheet via studio
- Administration -> Studio -> Objects
- Try to find Timesheets.
Expected Results: Timesheets is in the Objects list and can configure Timesheet display like other objects.
Actual Result: No Timesheet is in the Objects list.
The Timesheet is not an Object and its display page via Home -> Timesheets -> Select a timesheet is not configurable via Studio. It is configurable via the "Configure" link located in the right bottom corner of the page. The "Configure" page functionality is limited and fixed.
This issue has been documented as an enhancement request: CLRT-12127. It requests to change Timesheet into an Object which allows flexible configuration via Studio. The enhancement is currently under review and will be considered in a future release.
