unable to complete synchronization with storage

Issue:

Users are seeing the following error message in IntroscopeEnterpriseManager.logs 

[Thread-ModelSynchronization] [Manager.AppMap] Unable to complete model synchronization with storage!

Environment:
APM 10.2
Cause:

Problem updating the APM database

Resolution:

The problem is fixed in 10.2 Hotfix 18 and APM 10.3/higher, please contact CA Support for the Hotfix.  APM 10.3/higher is available for download at our support site http://support.ca.com

 

You will also need to update the APM database with the following query to increase the column size:

ALTER TABLE appmap_vertices ALTER COLUMN vertex_name TYPE varchar(1024);

ALTER TABLE appmap_vertices ALTER COLUMN business_service TYPE varchar(1024);

Additional Information:

Problem occurs in all platforms.
