Unable to add eHealth as data source in CA NetQoS Performance Center

Below is the error returned when trying to add CA eHealth as the data source in CA NetQoS Performance Center

"Failed to add data source. This data source is registered to another instance of the NetQoS Performance Center. It must be deleted from that instance before it can be added to this instance."

Solution:

This error generally is returned when the NPC is reinstalled or installed on another server and we try to add eHealth as a data source. eHealth will complain about being registered to another instance of NPC and it must be deleted from that instance before it can be added to this instance. In such a scenario it may be required to manually remove/unregister the eHealth datasource from NPC

For standalone eHealth environments, execute the query below to clear the NPC configuration from the eHealth database

$NH_HOME/bin/sys/nhisql "delete from nh_metadata where subject_area='NPC'"  

If the change doesn't immediately allow for the data source to be re-added restart the "eHealth httpd61" and "eHealth Tomcat61" services and try joining NPC to eHealth again.

For a distributed eHealth environment run the following command on the distributed eHealth console

./nhNpcSetup -clear  

Now try re-adding the eHealth data source to NPC.

"nhNpcSetup -clear" utility clears the CA NetQoS Performance Center cluster connection settings for all active cluster machines. We can confirm the same by running "nhNpcSetup -list" argument or by looking at the eHealth NH_PARAMETER table for CA NetQoS Performance Center settings
