UMP Mobile: push notifications no longer being received

Issue:

Customers who use UMP 8.5 or 8.51 along with the Mobile App for Android/IOS may notice that they are no longer receiving push notifications from the application.

Cause:

This is caused by an issue with the certificates used to access the push notification services.

Resolution:

To resolve this issue download and unzip the certificate file attached to this article and perform the following steps to update it in the UMP server:

  • Deactivate the wasp probe
  • Take backup of existing certificate from .../nimsoft/probes/service/wasp/Prod_Certificates.p12 
  • Copy the new certificate file to .../nimsoft/probes/service/wasp/Prod_Certificates.p12 
  • Start the wasp probe
