UIM cannot login to Nimsoft Infrastructure Manager

Issue:
When trying to login to the IM manager console there is a popup error that it can't reach the controller. 

Windows Task Manager shows controller.exe is not running. 
Environment:
Windows 
Cause:
Controller log is not updating. 
Opened a command window and changed directory to the $\nimsoft\robot directory and ran controller. 
It returned this error:
The program can't start because nim_shared.dll is missing from your computer. 
Resolution:
Viewed the files in the \robot directory and found several had been renamed with a .797 extension. 
controller.exe.797
controler_ext.797
nim_shared.dll.797

Removed the .797 extension and then restarted the Nimsoft Robot Watcher service.
