When upgrading to a new main release (8.00A=>9.00A, 9.00A=>10, 8.00A=>10, ..) receiving the above error

Solution

The reason for this message is below:
 
U0038140 Action not possible. Different Automation Platform Systems were started with this database. Please check the database and try again.

When updating, Automic checks all the system objects (CPs and WPs) and will not upgrade the database if there are inconsistent names.  Basically, you have probably changed the system name at some point; however, therere still system objects within the database with the previous name(s). 
 
The old system name(s) is still in some of the server objects (CPs and WPs) that are not used.  You will have to delete those objects with an old name before running the "UC_UPD.txt" using one of these two options:

A) Please complete these steps (if possible):
 
1. Log into the Client 0000
2. Access the <No Folder> (this should be where your WP and CP objects are saved)
3. Delete the CP and WP objects with previous system names (these are the cause of the problem since they have connected to a different system name)
 
or
 
B) Use the SQL statements below against the database you want to run the DB Load to update the framework ("UC_UPD.txt"):
