Introduction:
Bringing TSS down and then starting up TSS pointing to the TSS Backup database
Question:
It's been a while since I've done this, bringing TSS down and then starting up TSS pointing to the TSS Backup database.
I know you need to have a TSSB proc referencing the primary database as the backup, and the backup as the primary.
Once up on the backup, initiate a TSS Backup so backup database is backed up to the Primary.
Could you provide me with steps, just to make sure I have them right, that would be great.
Environment:
z/os
Answer:
First initiate a F TSS,BACKUP, BEFORE  executing the TSS replace commands.
IF there any issues and you need to use the Backup
Bring down TSS and start it back up on the backup (TSSB).
Once on the backup, initiate a F TSS,BACKUP, so the backup is backed up to the Primary TSS file.
Then shut down TSSB and start up on TSS.
