Trying to create a new token in APM Team Center, but nothing gets saved

Question:
When attempting to create a new token in APM Team Center, it shows me the dialog to set label and expiration, and then it generates the token OK, but nothing gets saved. Why is this and what can I do to resolve this?
Answer:
This is due to creating a token with an older version of APM Team Center and then upgrading to a newer version keeping the APM DB data intact.  One single record in both tables was created before the migration. 

Engineering recommends to modify the APM Database and remove the old tokens from the tables apm_secure_store and appmap_api_keys and then generate the new token(s).
