Question:
To connect to the Compliance Event Manager Repository database using a PassTicket, you need to select Application ID and type the application ID associated with the proxy ID. How do you determine the Application ID for DB2?

Answer:

Issue the following IBM DB2 command to display Distributed Data Facility (DDF) connectivity information:

subsystem_prefixDISPLAY DDF

Where:

subsystem_prefix :Indicates the command prefix facility (CPF) string for the IBM DB2 subsystem that is the CA Compliance Event Manager event repository.

For example the APPLID below is DB28DB2:

-DISPLAY DDF
DSNL080I  -DB11 DSNLTDDF DISPLAY DDF REPORT FOLLOWS:
DSNL081I STATUS=STARTD
DSNL082I LOCATION           LUNAME            GENERICLU
DSNL083I DB11PTIB           USILSY02.DB28DB2  -NONE
DSNL084I TCPPORT=8068  SECPORT=8067  RESPORT=8069  IPNAME=-NONE
DSNL085I IPADDR=::141.213.31.111
DSNL086I SQL    DOMAIN=sys11.ca.com
DSNL105I CURRENT DDF OPTIONS ARE:
DSNL106I PKGREL = COMMIT
DSNL099I DSNLTDDF DISPLAY DDF REPORT COMPLETE

In the display output the APPLID is part of the LU. The luname field contains the fully qualified LU name, which consists of a network ID, a period delimiter, and the LU name(APPLID).
