Problem:

After setting YSVC from NO to YES, as recommended by CA 1 Health Checks, TMSXTEND failed with:

IEFTMS70 9YY-112 OPCODE=24,READ ACCESS TO THE TMC NOT AUTHORIZED
IEFTMS70 ***** CA 1 ABEND,EP,24 ****

Environment:

CA 1 rel 12.6 and 14.0

Cause:

Security access is not correct for YSVC processing.

Resolution/Workaround:

With YSVC YES and BATCH YES, a security check for the Dataset on the TMC volume being read, is performed, if the user does not have YSVCUNCD access and does have YSVCCOND access.
TMSXTEND needs to read TMC records directly using the CA 1 YSVC and depending on the Dataset Name from the volume records being read, it might fail with 9YY-112, if the user does not have YSVCUNCD access.
Be sure the user running TMSXTEND has YSVCUNCD UPDATE access to avoid any 9YY related abends.
