Issue:

Time-Varying attribute does not accept decimals in the Value (Number type) and they are saved but with decimals stripped. This cannot be configured in attribute properties either.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to Administration > Objects > Requisition > Attributes > New
  2. Create a new Time-Varying attribute (i.e.: z_tva), Calendared / Number / Hours; Save and Return
  3. Go to Views > Edit Requisition [Layout: Edit] and add the attribute in the General Section
  4. Create a new Requisition
  5. Open the Requisition (Project > Team > Requisitions so that the Requisition Properties view is displayed.
  6. z_tva will appear. Choose any Start / Finish dates, and select a value of 2.5. Click Save.

Expected Results: 2.5 is a Number, so Value of 2.5 is kept and saved.

Actual Results: Value will be 2.

Cause:

This issue has been reported as DE38735 to Engineering.

Resolution:

This issue has been reviewed by Engineering and determined that this is not a bug but an enhancement that would require redesign of some areas of the product. The design for calendared TSV was to honor time-based values without fractions.

If you are interested in this enhancement to be included in the product, please follow the instructions for submitting Customer Ideas as described in this Communities post: https://communities.ca.com/community/ca-ppm/blog/2018/01/12/new-customer-innovation-process-for-ca-ppm.
