Question:

The Reports Tab in CA Service Desk Manager (CA SDM) displays two frames with reports. Is there a way to change it to a single frame?

Environment:
CA Service Desk Manager 12.9 and 14.1All Supported Operating Systems
Answer:

The Reports tab in CA Service Desk Manager (CA SDM) is multi-frame by default. This can be modified using the CA SDM Web Screen Painter.

1.  Login to Web Screen Painter as Administrator

2.  Click on File -> Open

3.  From Analyst -> Default open the 'multiframe_reports_admin.htmpl' form

4.  Click on the SOURCE tab and search for the phrase cols="50%,50%" 

5.  Change it to cols="100%" 

6.  Save changes 

7. Repeat the same for the following forms

multiframe_reports_chg_manager.htmpl 
multiframe_reports_cust_mgr.htmpl 
multiframe_reports_inc_mgr.htmpl 
multiframe_reports_know_analyst.htmpl 
multiframe_reports_know_mgr.htmpl 
multiframe_reports_prb_mgr.htmpl 
multiframe_reports_sd_mgr.htmpl 

8. Via Web Screen Painter, select FILE-> PUBLISH to publish the changes. 

9. Via a command prompt on the CA SDM server, run the following commands 

pdm_webcache -H 
pdm_webcache -b 

10. Clear web browser cache before accessing CA SDM web interface

You should now see the Reports Tab in the CA SDM web interface as a single frame
