The logged in user is shown as "Undefined" after upgrading

Question:
Why does the logged in user display as "Undefined" in PPM, after upgrading to the latest version?
Answer:
The cache may have become corrupted after upgrading. To resolve this, you will need to flush the browser and application cache by performing the following steps:
  1. Clear the browser cache
  2. Clear the CA PPM Server Cache
    1. Login to CA PPM as an admin user
    2. Modify the URL field to  http://<svr>/niku/nu#action:security.caches
    3. Click Caches tab and click FLUSH ALL button
    4. Click Groups tab and click FLUSH ALL button
  3. Restart CA PPM app services
