Description:

After an upgrade to CA Common Services r14.1 you may receive the following messages during ENF initialization if the BACKUP control option is still in use:

CAS9366I CA recommends you use ARCHIVE rather than BACKUP...

CAS9304I - M366Help: The BACKUP command will be accepted for

CAS9304I - M366Help: now, but it may be retired or redefined

CAS9304I - M366Help: in future ENF releases.

 

Solution:

Beginning with CA Common Services r12.0, the ENF BACKUP control option was replaced by ARCHIVE. Although the BACKUP parm will continue to function, it is recommended that it be changed as the BACKUP functionality may be changed in a future release. The format remains the same. Simply replace the current control option.

From:

BACKUP(hhmm) or BACKUP(AUTO)

To:

ARCHIVE(hhmm) or ARCHIVE(AUTO)
