Issue:

The documentation in the Endevor Footprint Guide on how to set up the Remote Footprint Synchronization is wrong.

Resolution:

Currently the Endevor Footprint Guide states one has to copy the CSIQLOAD library to the remote LPAR for where the footprint synchronization programs exist.

This is only partly true.  The JCL job used to generate the footprint extract file executes program BC1PFOOT, the problem is that BC1PFOOT does not exist in the CSIQLOAD library. This means that the CSIQAUTH library will need to be copied also.

Recommendation at this point is to create your new C1DEFLTS table and place it in the CSIQAUTH library.

The start of job BC1JFEXT should look like:

000019 //BC1PFOOT EXEC PGM=BC1PFOOT

 000020 //STEPLIB   DD DSN=IPRFX.UQUAL.CSIQAUTH, DISP=SHR

 000021 //                  DD DSN=IPRFX.UQUAL.CSIQLOAD, DISP=SHR

Also please note that since the CSIQAUTH and CSIQLOAD libraries are not authorize at the remote location the following information messages will be issue;

C1G0700I PROGRAM NDVRC1 WAS FOUND NOT TO BE AUTHORIZED

C1G0701I ALTERNATE ID, ACMQ, ESI, ELEMENT AND PACKAGE PROCESSING DISABLED

But the job will still execute successfully.
