Question:

Where are the CA InterTest for CICS R 9.1  RDO entries located and what is the purpose of the DFHCSD?

The CA InterTest for CICS installation step Add the Required CICS Resource Definitions CICS installation JCL member CSDINT requires a DFHCSD dataset. What is the DFHCSD dataset?

Answer:

The DFHCSD file is a required CICS dataset. The CICS DFHCSD dataset contains RDO entries for CICS and all other vendor software products installed in the CICS region. Every CICS region requires a DFHCSD file. The DFHCSD file can be shared by other CICS regions. Step Add the Required CICS Resource Definitions of the install process adds the CA InterTest for CICS(RDO Entries) programs, files and transactions to CICS DFHCSD dataset. The RDO entries all start with CSDINT## where ## is the CICS level.
If these entries are not defined to CICS and loaded at CICS initialization time, CA Intertest for CICS will not work correctly. Please review your CICS startup JCL and search for DFHCSD. This is the dataset that CICS will use at initialization time to load all the RDO entries. JCL member CSDINT located in HLQ.CABAJCL is used to add the CICS RDO definitions CSDINT##  for CA InterTest for CICS into the CICS DFHCSD dataset.
