Question:
After applying v3.5 CR08, simply access to the top page of Developer Portal, the browser tab shows the value "Homepage".

In earlier than CR08, the tab showed the hostname or IP address.

There are differences between the HTML files of each versions as following.
CR08: the title tag has the value "Homepage".
<head>
<META http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"> <title>Homepage</title>
Earlier than CR08: title tag is empty.
<head>
<META http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"> <title></title>
Answer:
With the changes made to address the defects stated earlier, the html title element will never be blank.
Issues Resolved in Release 3.5 CR8:
- DE342742 Custom meta tags are now supported in boilerplate files.
- DE342744 You can now update Author meta tags.

The order of priority for content for the title element is currently (1) the Page SEOTitle if present, (2) then a Content Section Title if present, (3) then the boilerplate html title element as a final fallback.

Notes:
(1) The changes to boilerplate (.bplt) files requires that the changes be published, as well as the two Sitebuilder plugin 'Regenerate Standard Files' and 'Publish Standard Files' be invoked.
(2) The previous handling of the title was considered to be a defect, and there is currently no plan to revert the behaviour back to the earlier releases. As a manual workaround, the title element can be empty in the .bplt files meaning that the final fallback will be empty, showing the browser url, if the other two higher priority locations (SEOTitle and Content Section Title) are also empty.
