What is the Architecture of a Sysload Agent?

Sysload System Agents
Answer:

A Sysload System Agent is composed of two main components ( Collector and File Server ) having their own binaries (configuration and logging).
A third component, Script Monitor, allows you to configure the reactions to alerts (although it is included in the agent package, it is not part of the collection process.).

An Agent is seen as a Module, this module has three components: 

  • Collector
  • File Server
  • Script Monitor

    Additional Information:

    Collector:

    • Gathers metrics
    • Answers to queries for real-time information from client applications
    • Sends alerts to client application
    • Stores metrics and Alerts to the Agent history files

    File Server:

    • Answers queries from Consoles to display history information
    • Relays queries from Consoles that remotely configure the Agent

    Script Monitor:

    • Automatically launches reaction commands to Alerts
