When I launch GT Subset from Datamaker using the "Data Subset" -> "Design Extracts and Transactions" menu item, the log shows "Connecting Source...", and then I get a SQL Error popup that says: Invalid object name 'gtrep_object_tag'.

When I launch GT Subset as standalone (by default, from location C:\Program Files (x86)\Grid-Tools\GTDatamaker\GTSubset.exe), it launches successfully.

I would like to launch Subset from Datamaker as it is convenient to do so for a specific connection profile and context I am already using in Datamaker.

Test Data Manager (TDM) 3.2.2 and later

The error is thrown most likely because there is stale information in the profiles.xml Subset rules file, which Datamaker makes use of.

1. Open the %APPDATA%\Grid-Tools folder on your system (this is the default location of the Subset rules file). The exact location of the rules file can be seen at the bottom left corner of GT Subset UI.

2. In this folder, locate profiles.xml and rename that file.

3. Now launch Subset from Datamaker again. It will prompt you to provide fresh connection information about the data source and the repository.

4. After your provide the connection details, GT Subset should launch successfully.

Please note that the above steps need to be done just once so that a new profiles.xml file is created.
