Introduction:

Steps to make CI attributes eligible for change verification by CACF in the managed attributes list.

Question:

How to add the custom CI attributes of the CA CMDB in the managed attributes list of the configuration control.

Environment:
Service Desk Manager 12.9/14.1 Conventional and Advance Availability.
Answer:
  1. Firstly, log on to web screen painter and then open schema designer.

  2. Select any table from the tables lists in the schema designer.

      For example: Let us select “har_stgpl” table, in this we have added one new custom   attribute “zExtendedStorage”

  3. Select "Advanced" tab of zExtendedStorage attribute in the properties section on the right and then type +AUDITLOG() in Site-Defined UI_Info.pic3.png
  4. Now, Navigate to File, Save and-Publish all changes made in the schema designer. Exit the Schema Designer and Web Screen Painter.

  5. Stop the SDM services and then execute pdm_publish command.
  6. Finally, after restarting the SDM services, try to add the zExtendedStorage in managed attributes in CMDB.
