Starting up a MOM gives a Java Exception about a SST file being corrupted and non-accessible

Issue:

Bringing up a MOM/Collector shows the following errors

1/30/18 02:48:01.196 PM PST [ERROR] [main] [Manager] The EM failed to start. org.rocksdb.RocksDBException: Corruption: Can't access /000101.sst: IO error: data/metadata/000101.sst: No such file or directory
1/30/18 02:48:01.207 PM PST [INFO] [main] [Manager] Shutting down the Isengard server
1/30/18 02:48:01.216 PM PST [INFO] [main] [Manager] Orderly shutdown complete.

Environment:

APM 10.5.1/10.5.2

Cause:

Corrupted Smartstor Metadata

Resolution:

There is an internal metadata repair tool that also gives additional logging . Please backup the complete “data” and “metadata” folder. Then attach the "metadata folder" to a Support case for Development to fix. It is not possible to cleanup/delete only metadata.

Once the data is cleaned up, then delete the existing metadata directory and replace it with the zipped one provided in the Support case.
