Detailed Description and Symptoms
When someone attempts to start an agent from the Service Manager Dialog and it doesn't start, usually an error message will be found in a pop-up or within the Agent's log file (usually found in the Automic\Agent\temp directory).
However, sometimes this does not happen. There is no log file and no error pop-up.
When this happens, Support recommends attempting to start the agent directly from the command line using the information found in the Service Manager Dialog--> right-click the agent--> Properties--> "Command" line.
Simply take this entire line and paste it into a Windows Command window.
The problem often is a path issue. The Command Prompt returns with a path error. Correct this path in the Command line of the Service Manager Dialog and retry.
Also, it could return with the fact that you are attempting to run with 64-bit java. Once 32-bit java is installed or the path to 32-bit java is corrected, it may generate a log file.
