The Policy Server runs serveral services under Windows. The Policy Server installation process starts all processes and configures executive applications to run the processes automatically at system startup in the future.
The main Policy Server processes for Windows are:
- Policy Server
Serves Agent requests for authentication, authorization, accounting and logging, and (if enabled) administration.
- Health Monitor Service
The OneView Monitor, which monitors the health and performance of the authentication server, authorization server, and Web Agent.
- CA RiskMinder Server Application Service
Evaluates each online transaction by examining a wide range of collected data against configured rules.
To start or stop Policy Server services on Windows systems, use one of the following methods:
Windows Services for all services (Policy Server, OneView Monitor, RiskMinder)
Access from the Windows Services dialog by selecting Start, Settings, Control Panel, Services. When you start or stop a Policy Server service, the associated executive starts or stops.
Policy Server Management Console (Policy Server service only)
To start and stop only the Policy Server service, use the Start and stop buttons on the Status tab of the Policy Server Management Console.
