There is also functionality to make models stay where desired after manually adjusting them.

You can do this by using the Attribute Editor.  Under Change Management, select Topologically Relocate Model and change it to "No"

This modifies the attribute IsMoveable for that device.

In SPECTRUM OneClick, you can also preserve a resolved connection between two modeled devices by locking that connection. (reference Modeling Your IT Infrastructure Administrator Guide pdf 5167).

When you lock a connection, Discovery will not delete the connection.

To lock a resolved connection

1. In a Universe topology view, right-click the connection you want to lock and select Lock/Unlock Connection.

The Lock/Unlock Connection dialog appears.

2. Select the connections you want to lock and then click OK.
