ISSUE: Spectrum distributed install failing with "UpdateVSRuntime: Unable to authenticate." error in the following circumstance:
- When installing Spectrum on more than one system
- When not specifying the root/Administrator password in the password file
When the root/Administrator password is not specified in the password file, the user is prompted for the password when the distributed installation is run. If more than one system is being installed, the user will be prompted with the following after entering the password:
Use for all empty password fields?
If the user responds "yes", the installation is supposed to use the same password entered previously for all other entries in the password file where the root/Administrator password was not specified.
However, the user will see the following error for each entry in the password file where the root/Administrator password was not specified:
UpdateVSRuntime: Unable to authenticate.
WORK-AROUND: When prompted with "Use for all empty password fields?", respond "no" and enter the password for each system when prompted.
RESOLUTION: This is currently being investigated by the CA Spectrum team and will be addressed in a future release of Spectrum.
