The alarm offers details on what is different. The child models (ports and applications) should match that of the parent model.
For example if the parent model has a DCM timeout of 10000, then the child models should also have this.
Once the values are matched, the alarm will clear itself.
Spectrum still works 100% during this, but it is an informative alarm so that it can be resolved.
Spectrum Alarm "Communication attributes differ on port or application" after upgrading to H09 or above
Spectrum 9.x H09
Causes of this problem:
This is a new feature in Spectrum 9.0 H09 and above releases.
Symptom: Application or port models may have a different contact status then
their device model has, even when not polled separately. This may e.g. result
in application models being suppressed (gray), but their device is
communicating fine with the server (and is in a normal, green, state).
Resolution: The condition and contact status of application and port models
will be calculated correctly. Cases might still exist when these values won't
match the ones on the device, e.g. this could happen when some of the models
communication attributes (community name, agent port, etc) do not match the
device), and external calls are failing because of this. In such cases alarms
will be generated to alert the user of this condition.
