SpectroSERVER crashing soon after running the NewMM.pl script

ISSUE:  After upgrading to Spectrum 10.1, the NewMM.pl script was run. Soon after running the NewMM.pl script, the SpectroSERVER process crashed.

 

CAUSE:  The NewMM.pl script looks for specific models in the database to convert. When found, it destroys the old model and recreates it. During the deletion of a device model, if any of the attribute returns a NULL value, the SpectroSERVER may crash.

 

RESOLUTION:  The Spectrum 10.01.00.PTF_10.1.011 resolves this issue. The following is the release note reference:

 

Symptom: During the deletion of a device model, if any of the attribute returns NULL, SpectroSERVER experiencing a crash.

Resolution: Added the NULL condition check on attribute, which will solve the SpectroSERVER crash.

 

This issue will also be addressed in Spectrum 10.02.00.00.
