Resolution:

The reason for this exception is, that the same DDDEF for SMPPTS2 is missing in the target zone too, so the APPLY CHECK could not find the sysmods needed to resolve the prerequisites.

Please follow these steps and see if they solve your issue:

1. Validate how many SMPPTS data sets you have (*.SMPPTS, *.SMPPTS1, *.SMPPTS2 …)

2. Go to SMP/E and add missing DDDEFs appropriately for global, target and distribution zone.

....a. SMP/E -> Administration -> Definition

....b. Select zone -> enter

....c. DDDEF

....d. Add missing SMPPTS, SMPPTS1, SMPPTS2 … dddefs and model them after the SMPPTS

3. Go to CSM and remove the SMP/E Environment from CA CSM

4. Migrate the same CSI back to CSM with the Migrate SMP/E Environment wizard

5. After migration, check in the SMP/E Environment Information, that each zone contains correct dddefs.

6. Then, try to run the Upgrade CA RS Level wizard again.
