SOI Manager does not startup

Symptom:

The SOI Manager does not startup and the SOI Manager debug web page does not open.

Environment:

SOI 3.3

SOI 4.0

Cause:

if we see the following thread in the logs:

 

Start Level Event Dispatcher" daemon pri=5 tid=0x97 nid=0x0 ( grp="main" cpu=3681ms

   java.lang.Thread.State: TIMED_WAITING, blocked 47 times, waited 47 times

               at java.lang.Thread.sleep(Native Method)

               at org.wso2.carbon.registry.core.clustering.NodeGroupLock.lock(NodeGroupLock.java:232)

 

This indicates that the registry stuck at NodeGroupLock.

 

 

 Resolution:

 

 

 

run the below query on SAMStore DB to get the " REG_LOCK_STATUS " ?

 

 select REG_LOCK_STATUS from samstore.dbo.REG_CLUSTER_LOCK;

 

If the query returns is "LOCKED", please follow the below steps:

 

 

 

1- Stop all soi services

 

2- execute the below sql query against the SAMStore

 

      update samstore.dbo.REG_CLUSTER_LOCK set REG_LOCK_STATUS='UNLOCKED' where REG_LOCK_NAME='INITIALIZE';

 

3- Delete the tomcat and jsw logs files.

 

4- Start the soi services
