Question:
Why are the SNMP traps sent out from the snmpgtw probe to a trap receiver not sending all of the data?  No alarms will ever send values for the custom 1-5 fields; the varbind is present, but the string text field is blank.  There is a NAS AO preprocessing rule configured to add values for the custom 1-5 fields before the event is created as an alarm. The snmpgtw probe is listening for a standard "alarm" queue as is set by default as well.
Environment:
UIM 8.51
hub 7.93
snmpgtw 1.40
snmpcollector 3.437hf
nas 9.00
Answer:
The "alarm" subject field is the initial alarm received by the NAS and will not contain any pre-processing rules the NAS runs on it. What would be suggested to do is to repost the alarm using an Auto-Operator Profile rule, for example:

1. Create an AO profile with the setting below in NAS probe
-Action type: repost
-Subject : AddCustomFields (this is example subject name)
-NMS Probe Name: logmon (use what ever filter would work for you, in this case this is reposting all logmon messages)

2.Now use AddCustomFields as Subject(s) under Setup in snmpgtw probe configuration.
