A Resource Manager (RM) entered his SMS phone number in his account settings in the SMS address text box as 123-456-7890
When an employee submitted his timesheet for approval (and the RM has the Approve Time access for this employee), the timesheet approval alert was sent (incorrectly) to the SMS phone number as an email address (i.e., email@example.com).
How can the SMS address be used for the timesheet approval alerts?
Is the format of the SMS address incorrect? Does this phone number need to be entered without the dashes?
The SMS address should include the full SMS address as provided by the phone provider in a format similar to an email address.
Go to the Account Settings page.
Under SMS notification enter the phone number in the following format firstname.lastname@example.org (using a valid SMS address from your phone provider)
