Description:

When creating a user or group on an Active Directory User store an error appears which is resembles: "smapiwrapperException: [LDAP: error code 16 - 00000057: LdapErr: DSID-0C090B38, comment: Error in attribute conversion operation, data 0, vece]"

Solution:

This is probably because the samAccountName, a mandatory attribute for Active Directory, is not included in the task and is not passed to the Active Directory when creating the user/group. Here is the procedure to include the attribute in the task. The example specifies Create User task, but applies for Create Group task as well with minor changes to the task name (Create Group instead of Create User):

Click on Admin Roles,
Click on Modify Admin Task
Select Create User task
Click on Tabs,
Click on the arrow icon to the left of the Profile Tab row
Click on the '...' icon.
Click on 'Edit'.
Click on 'Add' button and add 1 row of 1 field after the checked box or at
end.
Click on arrow icon of the field that appeared.
In the attribute Name field, select 'Logon Name'.
Click 'Apply'
Click OK
Click Select,
Click OK,
Click Submit.

Try to create a user.
