Problem:

When the client entered the command CNTL=END and entered the password to continue CA InterTest for CICS v 10 abended with an S0C4 AKEA at offset X'FFFFFFFF' in module IN68SER1.

The client just changed the default password so only certain individuals could terminate CA InterTest for CICS.

In order to change the default password the client had to reassemble and link the security module IN25SEC2.

Environment:

Z/OS

CICS CTS 5.1

Cause:

The cause of the problem was the IN25SEC2 security module was linked with the RENT option as listed below.

//LINKED EXEC PGM=IEWL,
// REGION=512K,
// PARM='LIST,LET,XREF,MAP,RENT';

Resolution:

RELINK  IN25SEC2 without the RENT option CNTL=END no longer abended. Make sure you see NORENT as one of the link options.

As per the CA InterTest for CICS install guide link IN25SEC2 using the following parameters without the RENT option.

//LINKED EXEC PGM=IEWL,
// REGION=512K,
// PARM='LIST,LET,XREF,MAP'
