Introduction:
This is specific to CA PAM (CA Privileged Access Manager) application. This is applicable to all the release of the product, as of this writing this we have CA PAM 3.1.1 released.
Question:
What is the reason for seeing these messages in tomcat logs:

com.ca.pam.rest.UserService getUserSelf
SEVERE: Call to Gatekeeper service controller failed: Unexpected character (<) at position 0.
com.ca.pam.rest.UserService getUserSelf
SEVERE: Call to Gatekeeper service controller failed: Unexpected character (<) at position 0.
Environment:
Any CA PAM release which is licensed for External API
Answer:
These messages appear when External API is enabled, these do not have any impact of the application.
The above message appears when ever a user login / logout action is performed.
