Description:

CA Gen r8 requires Java EE version 5 installed to successfully compile server implemented as a EJB and Build Tool needs to know about your Java EE installation.

Solution:

CA Gen r8 requires Java EE version 5 installed to successfully compile server implemented as a EJB.

There is the token name LOC.JAVAEE_HOME in the Build Tool profile and the build tool is looking for the newer javaee.jar, not the j2ee.jar as it was in older releases of the J2EE. For this reason, the token in the build tool needs to be set to a location, where a javaee.jar exists.

For example:

If Sun glassfish version 3 is installed and the javaee.jar file is located in the directory:

c:\Sun\glassfishv3\glassfish\lib,

then the token must be set to

LOC.JAVAEE_HOME= c:\Sun\glassfishv3\glassfish

Please note that the token value must be the parent directory of the lib which contains the javaee.jar file, otherwise the build tool will not be able to find the jar file.
