Detailed Description and Symptoms
CPIC (User Typ Communication oder System) in common:
The CPIC user has to be created in all clients in SAP which are used by Automic.
The password for the CPIC user has to be the same in all SAP clients.
If eg client 0 won´t be controlled by Automic the CPIC user is therefor not necessary in this client.
Specifics about SAP BW:
As there is no "executing user" (eg CCMS Jobs System user on steplevel) assinged by process chain controlling it might be necessary to give the CPIC user additional right.
When facing access right issues in BW it´s best to activate a XAL trace with the limitation on access of this user. You can then see in the SAP output which rights were missing.
CCMS job controlling:
For the execution of CCMS jobs which were created by Automic it´s necessary to create so called background users (type: system) who have the modulerights to execute the reports.
Only the CPIC (eg UC4_CPIC) user should have the scheduleright to comply with the audit needs.
Some customers have backgroundusers per Module (eg: UC4_BC, UC4_HR, UC4_FICO,... other have just one (UC-BATCH)
