Setting IE compatibility mode for CA Clarity PPM 13.3

CA Clarity PPM 13.3 lacks support for Microsoft® Internet Explorer 11 (IE11). 



To run Clarity on IE11, compatibility mode should be turned on.

  1. Upgrade to IE11.
  2. Invoke gpedit.msc to open “Local Group Policy Editor”. Opening gpedit.msc may result in parsing error. Refer to “Note A” in this same document to resolve this.
  3. Turn on Enterprise Mode and use a site list as specified in Microsoft MSDN Library.  
  4. Download “Enterprise Manager Site List Manager tool” from Internet Explorer Download Center to manage the site list.
  5. Configure the site list as specified on the Microsoft MSDN Library: Enterprise Mode Site List Manager tool 
  6. Specify the site list file created in step 5 at: “Local Group Policy Editor” User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Use the Enterprise Mode IE website list.
Note A : Parsing error on opening gpedit.msc

To overcome this error, download InetRes.admx from any trusted site and copy the file (with administrative privileges) to PolicyDefinitions folder (C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions).
