The Serial Number field in Spectrum OneClick is blank for F5 device models with sysObjectID 1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1.3.4.59

Cause:

The DeviceSerialAttr attribute id 0x3d0063 is not populated. This attribute is used as a pointer to the attribute id to be used to populate the Serial_Number attribute id 0x10030.

Resolution:

If the device supports the sysGeneralChassisSerialNum attribute id 0x3b71e72, then the DeviceSerialAttr attribute id 0x3d0063 can be populated with the sysGeneralChassisSerialNum attribute id 0x3b71e72. This can be done using the Attributes tab, Attribute Editor or Command Line Interface (CLI).

The following is an example of populating the DeviceSerialAttr attribute id 0x3d0063 with the sysGeneralChassisSerialNum attribute id 0x3b71e72 using the Attributes tab:

After populating the DeviceSerialAttr attribute id 0x3d0063 with the sysGeneralChassisSerialNum attribute id 0x3b71e72, you will need to reconfigure the device model by right mouse clicking on the model and selecting "Reconfiguration -> Reconfigure Model" from the top level menu. The Serial_Number attribute id 0x10030 should now be populated with the value from the sysGeneralChassisSerialNum attribute id 0x3b71e72.
